GTA San Andreas Will Not Start

Ok, first my Video card that I specifically got to play this game was messed up. I fixed it ( I think), and now GTA wont start. It tries... - the initial software names come up, but then the screen goes blank. after a while the audio comes on sporatically, and after that, the screen starts flashing on and off, ( it does the same thing when you power the computer OFF, which is peculiar).
I have Directx9 installed, and I have uninstalled and installed GTA twice.
I exceed the minimum hardware specs by far.
Any ideas?

Are u sure it aint pirated?Only 256 mb & GeForce4 card is required.
Give your system config.

You should try out some patch dude

 

The Only Thing I Can Think Of To Try Is Update Your Video Drivers And See If That Works.
