GTA Vice City

I have a problem with the game and none of the support sites help. I installed the game but when I click on the icon to start it, the game doesn't load. It shows the animation of the cd spinning that replaces my pointer and the cd drive starts spinning, but the game doen't start at all. Any suggestions?

 

I'm pretty sure all drivers are up to date. The cd is brand new also. Just bought it 4 days ago and haven't got to play it yet.

 

whats your computer spec's?

only time i have seen something like that happen with a game is when the video card is not up to the needs.

 

Besides checking your cd for scatches you want to check for fingerpint smudges just in case you got some on the playing side of the cd.

 

Is it just this disk that wont read? maybe bad drive/dirty lens

 

the computer is also brand new. I haven't had it for more than a month

 

You also might want to try the cd on a friend's computer to see if it's your computer or the cd it's self that's causing you problems with the game.

 

both the cd and the cd drive are completely clean. gta 3 works fine on it

 

nevermind guys, I downloaded the no cd crack and it works fine. must have been the cd. thanks for all your help

 

now I have another problem, there is music and background audio, but no audio for anything else. no vehicle audio, weapon audio, or people audio. the cutscenes work fine though.

 

Sound's like it might be a defective cd.
