Guild Wars is slow!

I run a Pentium 3 processor at 408 Mhz. Guild Wars runs fine, except that I have massive amounts of lag. I lowers the graphic details and textures in game, yet I'm still lagging. I click to move my warrior forward yet he doesn't move, then suddenly he is in the spot I clicked for him to be in. Do I need to get a new processor? Or is there any suggestions on how to fix the lag. Keep in mind my graphics card is up to date with drivers, but out of date compared to whats on the market. Want a cheap way of speeing up the game! Thanks!

you don't meet the minimum cpu requirements, that's probably your problem.

 

I guess I have to upgrade my computer or get a brand new computer!

Sounds like you need to go for a new PC.

Try atleast 512 RAM, a 1 GHz processor, and a decent video card.

Also you may want to check into something like an AMD Athlon... You can get a good CPU for around $80 in socket A. For around $280 you could probably find a better processor, video card, and 512 RAM.

I just built myself a gaming PC in the last few days. Here's what I got:

MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Venice core)
1 GB PC3200 memory (2x512 dual channel)
120GB Samsung HDD from my old PC
Optical drives from my old PC
MSI Radeon X800XL 256MB

I went a little overboard on my graphics processor since I got a bonus check at work. Look into re-using some parts you have laying around if you can salvage them.
