I like it a lot so far.


Its got the Diablo/mmorpg feel to it.


Point and click or WASD controls.


This game isn't even beta yet, so play it with an open mind.

 

I played this for about 30 minutes or so last night, just to check it out. From download to play it only took maybe 15 minutes.

I created a Ranger and logged into the "training" area. The combat was very enjoyable and fun to watch. I liked the atmosphere of the area I was in as well.

Before long, some NPC asked me to help take out some badguys. I agreed and followed him and 3 other NPCs. We took out one guy and then the original NPC asked me to lead one of the other NPCs further into the ravines to "flush out" the rest of the badguys. The main NPC said they would hang back (real brave there buddy) in case we needed them. We went in and took them out, just the two of us.

After that I went into a town and things got a little confusing as to what I should do next. Several trainers there as well as a few NPCs looking for help doing some quest or another.

Pretty impressed considering I had hardly even heard of this thing. I guess it is pretty PvP oriented which generally means I will avoid it. I did not partake in any PvP during the time I played. For the cost (free) and time it took me to download and install I say it would be silly not to try it out while you still can.

 

I had the same experience you did.

I'm gonna try out PVP tonight maybe, seeing how the demo closes on Friday.

I'm concerned for a balance a little though.


Im a ranger/necro.


It feels wrong to have unlimited arrows, precision shots, double shots, dodge, heal, life siphon, and some other spells.

But it sure is fun so far!

 

Another thing that was cool which I had forgotten:

I killed a few monsters right off the bat. Then I went after some monster with a second name like "resurrector" or something. The thing raised the 2 previous monsters from the dead and they attacked me. Too funny.

PVP is AMAZING.

Its team based, and at least during the demo, you are randomly assigned to a team.

There is a holding area until the countdown hits 0.

Then the gates open on both sides and everyone rushes out to attack.


There is no camping, no griefing, or any junk like that.

Once your team dies, it starts over.

I love this game!

 

I downloaded it last night and played a little.....it's pretty good so far.

 

I checked it out. it was pretty cool even in it's alpha stage. I am eager to see the final release..

 

Best of all, there wil be no monthly charge for this game.

 

That's even better..

 

Gezzzz.....something else for me to get addicted to.
