Gut feelings.

Sometimes when troubleshooting stuff, I occasionally have a gut feeling about what may be causing it, even if it's unlikely. A few times I've been right (e.g. I was helping somebody on a Beatles forum, they said what was wrong, I said "I'll bet it's a dead mobo," turns out I was right).

Has anybody else done this?

 

"Gut feeling" is a combination of experience, luck, and a subconscious realization of what the information in front of you actually means. When luck striesk, the gut feeling gets it right.

 

I just go with the black 8 ball that you shake and it always gives the right answers.:-D

 

Instinct rather than reason..... UK folk may recognise that phrase

 

I tend to use the stumble along method going from the ridiculous to the sublime and after many hours of wreaking havoc in the PC it seems to get the required result.

 

Gut feelings are just your synapses tryna fling your neurons into gear,they are responsible for all kinds of crap in your life like the colour of your wallpaper or your current spouse.

Best to wait for the neurons to get busy before deciding on a solution:-D

 

I don't have a current spouse. I don't even have a current significant other. I've never even kissed a guy!

 

Listen to your gut more then...

 

Too much pork and beans gives me a gut feeling...but it is soon relieved.
