I have a vaio laptop VNG-FE660G MCE 2005 with hidden partion to restore factory setting, a C: partition and NO Windows installation cd, just my "hand" made recovery disks from the laptop. I want to completely format my C: partition and run on it a gutman method software and THEN reinstall back the OS ( althought I will go through again the tedious uninstalling process for all the junky factory software).

1)Is it possible to do it? CAN anybody guide me trough it? A friend of mine give me Acronis T.I. 2009 and Disk director suite plus ActiveBoot@disk.
2)Is there any way to overcome the tedious process of unistalling the junky factory software?

3)Reading around I found controversial writing about using a partition (2.5 times your own RAM) as swap to speed up laptop. What is your suggestion guys?
    4) I do not have always fast internet connection because I travel a lot 4 work, it is possible to get the MW updates, hotfix and SP3 and burn/store them just in an external drive and install them later?

I always appreciate your help guys
