Can I replace a Sata HardDisk with a regular Hard Disk?

    Hi

Yes you could but does your motherboard support IDE? regular is not a term that you could really use in this instance as regular is SATA or IDE or SCSI, depends on setup as regular or common used now is SATA.

personally if you dont need to change I wouldnt as SATA is quicker that IDE drives, plus in some PCs depending on motherboard used you may not have a IDE connection port so may have to use a SATA to IDE connector.

Do you know what motherboard make and model you have in your PC, or if its a OEM one like HP, Dell, etc whats the make and model?

I agree with Halo speed wise but also the IDE ribbons are so wide they make the case very messy and can impair airflow.

If it is your old HDD and you want to get DATA from it, it is easy to do and most SATA motherboards (mobo) are backwards compatible to accept IDE HDD but not all HDD with IDE will accept SATA.
