    Hi

Moved your question to its own thread, could you elaborate a little more, whats the game, whats your Windows version and Service Pack?

As for Hacking this could mean many things, but in this instance and context in the main its folk who use cheat engines etc and this well is not something you can fix, its upto the game developers to try and block such hacks.

or is it your online account and user name was hacked? if so this tends to come about when you chat with other users and some mention download this patch for extra functionality etc and with this patch its not a patch but in sorts malware to steal your account info, and this you will need to contact the game developers to see if you can sort it out.

But if you can give us more info a better reply to your question we may have.

Thanx for responding, sorry I was not clearer. I guess I was asking two questions.

You gave me the answer to the first one, but what I was really concerned about is how safe is my online account and user name from getting hacked?

Is there a program like a firewall or antivirus that can help protect your online account from such malware attacks?

MY computer is a Dell running Win7 with newest service pack.

No security software can save you from 'friends' or your own stupidity/naivety.

Don't allow anyone access to your account or the PC you game on, don't tell anyone your account name, email address associated with the game or anything that might allow them to guess your 'secret answer'.

Any social networking site you belong to may hold enough info to furnish someone with details to gain access to your account.

    Hi

Sadly no application to protect you as in the main it will be you that lets the information loose, never accept any ones download of an app to give you "mystical powers" etc in the chat rooms of the games as its all hokum.

Always keep the game/s that you are playing fully upto date.
Keep Windows and any of your security applications upto date.
As mentioned NEVER tell anyone your account information.
