Hailing All Computer Wizards!

    the skipper is on deck...great site and info...whats some software that some of you experts need to have and any speacial secret settings or something like that that makes a difference?....keep up the good work...(im lookin for the maximum performance/reliabilty)

    actually i know this may sound crazy,but is there anyway to make aol faster through settings,software,anything??(im using an old school compaq presario/basic dial-up modem/aol)...any help would be soo cool....

    Well Skipper apart from keeping your machine clean from Virii and Spyware the other things we may advise you on are OS reliant so we'd need to know what your using?


    Personally I dont use many other apps apart from a AntiVirus and a few spyware apps, most of the little tweaks and tuneups I do are either registry hack based or to a minor extent via Group Policy menu of XP Pro.


    Give us an idea of what OS and Spec's your PC has and we can go from there?

    your right bro..just wanted to test out the forum and maybe get some new info..this site has lots of goodies to check out..i like tweaking the registry and various settings also...i got windows xp home/compaq presario 6000/dial-up....so its not much to work with but its fun trying and i actually got it running pretty good...im trying to clean my registry and its taking a while with sharewares since you got only a certain amount of fixes..anybody got any registration codes for me? :) ..i got the latest bios,thats fun to tweak until you done all you can,anyways anybody remember the commador amiga days?...temple of apshai and rogue...lol old school...get luck with your computers doods and have fun..

    A good registry editor is REGCLEAN and it is freeware. It also backs up your registry entries.

    Get RegCleaner, it works great and backs up your registry entries just in case you delete something u didn't want to. You can also delete a bunch of other stuff like file extensions, things on the uninstall menu, and the right click and select new menu.
