"Half-frames" have me puzzled

    Hi, all!

Just lately when I go into any of "my favourites" or any other website such as a news site, for example, or even entering this or any other forum, it comes up in what I would term a "half frame." In other words, the program does not fill the whole screen - only about halfway down and then I have to maximise it, or pull down the bottom edge to fill the screen. Any idea why this happens? It's just a bit annoying and makes me wonder why it does happen from time to time.

    Thanks

    Hi

At times the browser will forget its default setting especially if the last windows closed was one as you coined "Half Frame" the way to reset it back is open a browser window and not use the maximise button but to drag the edges out to the size of windows you want, then to close all windows apart from the dragged out one in the size you want, then close it.

The OS hopefully will remember the setting.

Which browser is this? just curious as I had similar issues at times with IE6 but never had it with IE7, Opera or Firefox 3 beta yet!!!

or try this to overcome this http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1746

Hello, Halo, I'm on WinXP, IE7. However, the problem seems to have fixed itself - but I'll file your reply in my special Computer Info file I have for all sorts of questions, queries and other info. Thank you for your response, and I hope you have a wonderful new Year!
