    i heard Nov..... thats right since they just had to hack in, gamestop has them under Nov.. sure it could change to next week, but hey thats what i was told....

    and + the game comes with a sick Ver of CS.. i can't wait for this game, i been playin

    PS. FarCry might be one of the best games i have ever played the muilt player isn't that great... but the game is so new i am sure they will patch it up

    It isn't going gold, but the content that won't change anymore is being preloaded for ppl who preorder, and if I remember right, ppl with the ATI voucher. I'm not sure if this means it'll be released this or next week, but it is a good sign that the game will just HAVE to be in stores by September. With the preload already going, perhaps it will come in early September.

    Preload Update

    Update: Here's the latest from Gabe on our forums:

    It's ~ 4:00 PM PST now. CS: Source test should go live for CZ/ATI people at 7:00 PM PST (in three hours).
    Just in case you missed it, yesterday Gabe Newell posted an informative update in our forums concerning the CS:S and HL2 preload.
    Quick update:
    - ATI/CZ users will get turned on later tonight for the CS: Source test
    - An update will be out today as well. This is largish (~60 MB).
    - The size of the update is due to the Video Stress Test it includes. You'll be able to do some initial performance analysis using this test and report the data back to a central server. The results of the VST will be posted on Steampowered.com.
    - HL/2 pre-load will begin tomorrow. It was ready yesterday, but we decided to use the bandwidth to get out the VST first since I get pelted with zillions of questions from people asking how their PC will run Half-Life 2.

    Welp, heres hoping they dont pull a Doom 3 on us, lots of hype, followed by a 50 dollar tech demo. Iceman, just get Steam, it will auto preload it. Sadly, I already reserved a copy, so my luck will be I can get it on Steam before the stores :(

    Just think of everyone else who might be getting it through Steam, I can only imagine how slow the downloads will be, considering they arent really fast right now to begin with and imagine downloading ~1.5-2GB at 100kb/s or less... Id rather get it in stores.

    Speaking of hl2 when I get my new graph card could someone send me some help on how to remove the 1 in atm and put the new 1 in.. please cuz I dont wanan fawk anything up...

    Theres no trick to it. In general, you go to add remove programs and uninstall any drivers for the current card and so no to the restart. Shut down, insert the new card and boot back up and install the drivers.

    Theres some additional driver cleanup you might want to consider like checking for regietry entries or in the case of Nvidia to ATI or vice versa, there are some tools for removing leftover files. This is optional and should not be required.

    I assume you know how to remove the video card? If not, for AGP, remove the phillips head screw holding the card in and slide it out, BUT look for a plastic brown piece near the rear of the card and press down on it to remove the rear of the card.

    Finally, posting your email ANYWHERE publicly is a surefire guarantee for spam city.
