I'm with ya, Kodo . . . been there, done that. I especially enjoyed the complicated toys that had instructions created by well meaning souls who did not speak english as a first language . . . lol

This is one time I don't miss my kids being little . . . but I just found out I got a grandkid on the way! (revenge is sweet, I told my son . . . )

Me too, when I saw the checkbook after Abby got done shopping.

She outdid herself; she knows I like my toys and bought every radio-controlled gizmo out there. A hovercraft and a jet will make for some excellent seagull-terrorizing at the beach this year.

 

All I can say is thank god for electronics. Just put batteries in and away you go. Been the part A,B,C route and it gets old real quick.
My girls are college age now so it's more gift cards than anything else.

I've been building my little brother's lego model - he's only 3 so I'm not entirely sure why his parents got him it, he has no interest in building it just that he wants a truck at the end

Oh and also getting the Nintendo DS's to talk to each other properly has been a bit of a challenge. Though my two brothers will be having a lot of fun with picto-chat in the near future i can tell.

 

I must be some sort of freak because I love putting that stuff together. That was half the fun to me.

 

A lot of us Mrs Dads know what you're talking about too Only now they are older the type of toy has changed that they need help with hehe

 

Yeah, I got through all that trauma of present buying, wrapping, cooking ect., etc.

Had a great Christmas Eve/Day, got a heap of presents and everyone made a big fuss of me. Now, back to (semi) normality).

I can put together the slinkys, but sure have a heck of a time when they get all twisted/

 

LOL.... My son got the Star Wars Lego Tie Fighter kit for Christmas... spent an hour at mom and dad's putting it together, was actually really kewl tho, we had a blast doing it together.
