Well... if you're talking about size and not content, then probably about 6 months worth of spamming. But of course, as the system is self-optimising (oo, buzzword!) it deletes long-lost threads, or at least extraneous information about them, after a set period. So, it shouldnt ever slow down that way. Theoretically.
