Wow, thanks guys. It's been a while, but I stopped in to look for a download and thought I'd visit my old haunt. Looks like a lot of the old gang is still around.

Had a great birthday. Eric and I went to a movie and then out for sushi - yum! My Mom was up for a visit a couple of weeks ago and we went to Bushnell to celebrate (her birthday is the same as mine). It was weird to be down there with her without my Dad (this is her first time back to Bushnell since he passed away), so it was a little bittersweet, but we had a great visit.

The kids are growing like weeds. Kolya is almost 8 and Drexel almost 6. Drexel is quite the whiz on the computer. We've tried to make things simple and safe for him on his computer with shortcuts to his favorite sites on his desktop, so he has no reason to go searching around and getting into inappropriate stuff, but I caught the little stinker using Google the other day (he was looking up Lego's)! I asked him how he figured it out, and he said that he saw me do it to find a game for him, so he figured he could do it too! I told him next time to make sure I'm in the room before does that just in case he finds "grown-up stuff". He's a good boy, he'll listen.

Kolya is reading now and devouring every book she gets her hands on. We'd had some fears last year that she was dyslexic, and there are still some signs, but she's a tough cookie and doesn't give up easily. She's working really hard, and things aren't as much of a challenge as they had been. I gave her a bunch of my Snoopy books and that really jump-started her reading. Now if I could find math cartoons..... rolleyes

Eric is still with the Crossing and they're still plugging away at a new CD. One of these days.... They've got a few new songs on their myspace. Robert Lewis Stevenson's epitaph is on there to music. Some of you might remember GT recommended it to Eric to put to music. It's one of my favorite songs that Eric's ever written.

I just started a new job. I'm a women's coordinator here at Jpusa. It's something that I've always wanted to do, but never felt like I was a strong enough personality to handle it. It's been a tough few years, and I've really "grown up" in a lot of ways. I'm really enjoying it. I do a lot of scheduling for the women's jobs and rotations as well as handling housing for the single girls. I love the other women that I am working with. We're a really good team and it's something I can do right here in the house. Eric did a barter job refinishing some furniture to get me a laptop for my birthday - a Dell Latitude D800 - our first laptop. It does the job and I'm loving the convenience. Plus, now we can sit in the room and both be on the computer. That's been nice (and really great for work).

So that's what we've been up to. How is everyone doing? Anything new? Who's still here (besides the obvious ) I still look up Wenchie's blog occasionally. And my ears always perk up whenever I hear that NASA has something going on. (Hi Star and Abbysue!) And CP, I'm still watching Survivor, but I haven't done the fantasy league for the last several seasons. Hi MA! How's the Harley? still got it? Anyone seen Slider or Dperino around lately?
