    Thanks guys and gals. All the cakes look luscious. My husband and I are going to a buffet where my meal will be free.

    We talk about memorable birthdays that we don't want to repeat.
    a) The year my mom broke her wrist and we spent the day at the hospital I was born in waiting in emergency.
    b) 2009, the year my husband didn't feel well and we spent hours in emergency waiting for him to be looked at. It turned out later he needed a pacemaker.
    c) 2011 when the temp was 106° F/ 41° C and set a record for the highest temperature here.
    d) 2020 when we got brave, made reservations and ventured out to a restaurant wearing masks and keeping hand sanitizer close by.
