Happy Halloween!

Any good costumes this year? I'm sick with a cold, so we're turning off the porch light and hiding in our house all day.

Hi Mimsy, just going to kick back here as well. Nobody goes trick-or-treating in the Country anymore, they all go into town...by the carloads.... Oh I guess they get more goodies that way....:confused

Sip on a hot-toddy and that will fix that cold! :-D

Same here TeeCee and they go to the richer side of the town too!:-D There's only 10 houses on my 1 mile long gravel cul-de-sac with no lighting either though the folks here are good. Most go to the local school where the Knight's of Columbus put something together for the local kids.

I'm away from home in Philadelphia. I'm going to Eastern State Penitentiary for their haunted attraction. Went to a concert last night. After the Prison thing, I'm going to grab my camera and take pictures of the fruitcakes walking around down here. College kids were out in costume last night.. LOL

Sometime back I had bought 2 bottles of Elmer's School Glue for 29 cents at Staples. Actually I think it was over a year ago. I have them in the center of my minivan in a drink holder I have there. (I mainly ignore the drink holder except to make sure my coffee mug is riding upright.) I jokingly said that I would give the glue to trick or treaters. Tonight I really gave it away! Only I also had some Trident Layers Apple/Pineapple gum. Three boys about say 10 or so are at my drive as I am backing in about 7:20 or so.
I call out, "Are you skipping this house for a reason?"
They politely replied "No one is home."
I then said "I am now!"

So I grab the glue and set the plan in motion. Ghoul #1 and Ghoul #2 are given the bottle in the sack with the comment, "here is some glue for you!" I am laughing and said "wait a second." Ghoul #1 and Ghoul #2 were off to my neighbor in my duplex, but Ghoul #3 -dressed as the grim reaper waited. I said "That was mean, right?" Ghoul #3 simply shrugged. I grabbed some gum from the back seat, and gave him one in his bag. Ghoul #3 joined the other two, and I walked over to the man with them (Dad?). I explained that there REALLY was going to be a bottle of Elmer's Glue in the two sacks, but here was some gum for later. The man held his head back and roared. As they exited the drive, they said "we were really not expecting glue, but that is what we got." They were very polite and I trust they don't come back to soap my windows. :-D

 

I had a boring Halloween. Nothing much happened here.

 

Well everything went wrong that could.. Everything I did today it broke or got messed up some way or another.. Everything I did went wrong... I got my car window broken and money taken (xmas money I was shopping with) out of my car..Just crazy

 

I watched the excorsist with my friend tiff, and 2 of her friends, and found out that she makes a very good pillow lol
i got 3/4 of a bag of candy XD

 

I went to a meditation on Friday and someone had the flu and got us all sick..:-( So, I had the flu for Halloween, turned off the lights and watched Sci Fi on the computer! Boring!

 

Ouch raven! I'm sorry... sick on Halloween sucks.
