    hi

i swapped out a hard drive from a computer that i use to save all my downloaded stuff on. i plugged it in to my newer computer tor transfer all my dl'ed files and they weren't there. when i hooked up to the original computer, half the stuff was still not there. i checked the disc for errors and it said it was fine. where did all those files go and can i get them back? any ideas?

    thanks

Were you running this disk as a seperate drive letter /partition, on the old computer ?
Was it set up the same on the new computer, as on the old.?

    Which operating system are you using, XP, 2000, 98, 98SE, 95 ?
Is the operating system on this 'mobile' drive ?
How were you trying to read the drive,in the new computer ? through windows management (2000/xp) ?
Or, how did you try to read it ?
Did you give the Hard drive time to cooldown, and make sure you had grounde yourself, before touchung/removing Hard Drive ?
That will help us to elimate some possible causes/ remedies.
