Hard Drive Cleaner

I just downloaded HDCleaner 2.329 http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=1287&cat=12
and have some questions.
When I clean the disk, it gives me a list of files, but I have no idea if they are safe to delete, and it doesn't give me any info on the files. Here's a screen shot of part of the list.

I run Windows 2000
AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.33
512 DDR RAM
40 gig hard drive

Okay, I can't post a screen shot, because the file size is too big, or if the file size is small, you can't read it. I can't copy and paste it, so I don't know what to do!

.gid files

.gid files you can delete. They are created when you use a "Help" in a program. Others that are safe to delete are,
*.TEMP
*.tmp
*._DM
*.wbk
*.fts
*.gid
*.BAK
*.OLD
~*.*
*.~*
*.---
*.$$$
*.$DB
*.DB$
*.CHK
*.DMP

 

Thanks Mungo Man!! I deleted those files, and then noticed that all the rest were .log files. Are those safe to delete as well?

 

It all depends on what the log files are for. If their for crashes of programs still on you computer I'd save them, but it they are old .log files from programd you have deleted, I would guess they are safe to delete.
