Looks like you might have accidently, somehow, created a 2gig partition during setup & the remainder has not been set with a file system.

If it is XP, boot up with the XP cd. Follow the screen to the setup option. See what the hard drive looks like in there.

Or go to the control panel/admin tools/computer management/storage/disc management. Highlight that & look to the right.

It says 29.49 Gigabyte Unallocated So what should i do now (Create new Partition) ?? Oh and also i forgot were the menu is to change my filing system to NTFS Could you post that aswell :)

(And there's still missing gigabytes if its only 29.49 lol)

If you want to get it all back on one drive....what's there anyway.......boot with the XP cd, get to the hard drive again & delete all the partitions then select the one large drive that you will have to install XP again.

If you can't be bothered at this time then go back to admin tools, right click on the unallocated or just left click......can't remember........and format it using NTFS.

You should be able to figure it out once there.

Although they sell it as a 40gig only 37 - 38gig will show up. The other 3gig or so goes in making up the file system.

if you have nothing on them other partitions you could do a fresh install and delete all them partitions within your windows install.if you dont want to do a fresh install you will need to find some software like partition magic to merge them partitions. ed
