Hard Drive Help/Partitioned Drives

I have a late 90's laptop and there are two physical drives on it C: and D:. The D: drive is a System_Save drive. Is it possible to combine these two drives to gain back the space on it? I believe the correct term is partitioned drives, I think. Any help would be fantastic.

Yes, and it would mean that you will most likely loose any info, due to if Win98, this means using FDISK to delete the partitions and create one.

 

You can use a free utility from the HDD manufacture to delete the partitions then make one or more & format.

The above & below will Delete everything on the drive. ( Guaranteed to regain all usable space & loose all existing Data )

Asus, looking at their other posts, I am getting a feeling that it is 98, not XP that they are using, since it is an older machine.

I have no problem with Fdisk but many do.

IMO, The manufacture utility will be easier to use than Fdisk.
Of Course the poster will need to know what brand HDD they have

 

ok, the suggestions above are suitable if you don;t need any data on the hd. but if you don't want to loose it, it's worse to use 3d party prog for such tasks, like disk director.

 

Thanks to all of you for your helpful support. I am running Windows 98 on it. I ran fdisk and that sorted it all out for me. Thanks again, everyone was really helpful.
