hey guys just wondeing whats your opinon on the best freeware prog to perform drive imaging onto an external hd, i know i should probably buy acronis but really cant afford it at the moment.

so i will do a simple copy and paste of all my music and photos etc for safety just in case the freeware prog does not work when i need it to

anyways iv done a little research on drive image xml and have also seen some threads mentioning windows has one

acronis v7 was free for a while but i cant get it off the site now , is it illegal to ask for someone to email me the installer as it was free

serious thanks to anyone who can help

ps. if it is illegal please dont block the thread mamt :)

Hi, True Image is quite good actually. Really, Acronis gave True Image 7.0 for free but this promo has already expired for now. I haven't downloaded a free version cause I have already got a full TI 10.0 home ver. Try to ask your question on this forum of True Image lovers.
There were a lot of threads about TI 7.0; guess, you may find users who had time to download it

I cant think of anything better than a Free Utility from the HDD manufacture.

These utilities usually come with retail HDD's
OEM owners, no worries it's free download at your Manufactures Web site
