So I had PSI Diamond motherboard with a 500 gig hard drive with windows vista ultimate 64 bit installed, with 8 gigs of ram. I decided to install an additional 1.5 t hard drive for mass data storage.

I click on, I get my usual overclock error screen that in my computers parlance is a holdover from when I had an overclocked video card and just means I need to reboot and everything will be alright. I reboot. Sub woofer goes woof, and then nothing. Screen doesn't light up, keyboard doesn't light up, nada.

I immediately turn off my computer and remove the new hard drive, and then after 5 minutes with my computer off, turn it back on. Sub woofer goes woof, and then nothing. Screen doesn't light up, keyboard doesn't light up, nothing happens.

I have no idea what to try, as I have no idea what is wrong. I had no idea that installing a new hard drive could do this, and if it could, I have no idea how to fix it.

I will try anything, as soon as someone gives me some idea of what could be wrong?

have you tried resetting the bios? there should be a jumper, or you might have to take out the cmos battery for a few minutes. and maybe it would be good to disconnect all drives (even the good hard drive) and any other non essential things (usb, network, etc) and see if you can get it to turn on
