Hard drive issues error checking.

For some reason earlier audacity was having problems I was messing with the sound card drive as a result whenever I would boot windows on non safe mode my computer would freeze. so I had to roll back on the settings anyways during this incident I turned my computer off ( the bad way) like 15 times..... so I scheduled a hard drive check through my hard drive options Tools > perform error checks then check both check boxes. I turn of my computer then turn it back on now when the check is supposed to start it hangs on 1 on the count down and I can't do anything I can't even sometimes cancel the check cause my keyboard is not responding so I have to plug in an external keyboard and jam it in hope it does register any support or will I have to send in my laptop to the manufacturer.

 

Try running sfc/scannow

You will need the installation disk.
