so i just got a couple questions.

This is a different computer as a similiar topic that i made a while ago.

So anyway i got a harddrive on one computer with everything installed.. OS , programs , music etc.. its a computer that i use daily.

So im getting a new Gaming computer all built that has a 400GB hardrive (blank with no OS).. so if i can plug in the harddrive of my daily used computer to the new one.. would it be possible to use it as a main hardrive and use its OS? Big question would be how would i uninstall all the drivers and programs that relate to hardware i had on the computer it came from?

Would it be possible to Transfer just C drive to the new 400GB harddrive since its almost full on the old one.. because i want to know if its possible and still have the OS work and all the stuff important files (not too knowledged about whats on C drive in terms of stuff that your computer needs to run) when its on the new harddrive.

HOPE IT DOESNT SOUND TO CONFUSING :p

A good safe way to experiment would be to use image software to completely copy the old drive to the new one. Then you can test on the new drive without risking the old one at all. This would also be the easy way to just use the new drive, since most image programs will also let you resize the copy to fill the disk. There are a couple of packages out there, Ghost, Drive Image, Acronis come to mind.

As long as your processor structure is the same you should be able to come up in safe mode and load the appropriate drivers as needed.

There may be one hitch, I didn't notice what OS you're using so it may not be a problem (but I bet it is).

M/S will not allow you to transfer the OS. They can back this up if it is XP or Vista. The OS in any computer is linked to the motherboard, you can't even swap motherboards in the same machine, unless it is the same exact make/model.

If they decide you have an OS in more than one computer they can disable it.

You can buy a second OS, such as XP, and then transfer it, or you can contact M/S and pay for a second lisence as I understand it, but be very careful how you proceed from here.
