I have this Hard drive from an old computer here at the office. I thought it was fouled, but it must have been something else that ended the computers life. Anyhow, I would like to use it, but can't unless I unplug my DVD drive. It hooks up with these dumb skinny black things on red wire, and the wire runs right from the drive to the motherboard. There's something about jump / jumper / jumping and a plug on the back of the drive, but do I have that wire?

    :confused

    Hi Paxton

Could you post a pick of the wires and back of HDD? guessing the skinny black thing and red wire is SATA cable!?

IF SATA then your mobo would need to have SATA port on mobo.

Plug on back of drive is if dead tiny is a jumper for mainly IDE drives.
