hard drive question

    Do you think a hard drive would be ok for back up even if it has already given a blue screen. This drive is said to fine after format and just want to use it as a backup drive, not a boot drive. do you think it would be ok?

    It depends on what caused the blue screen. If there are bad sectors, the drive is heading toward failure and wouldn't be a good choice for anything. Try running HDD Health on the drive and see what it reports.
