Hard Drive Recovery

    Im not sure if this is the correct place to be posting this but i tried...i need to recover things from a harddrive that have been deleted im guessing ill have to go through MS Dos to do so..can anyone explain this to me at all?..and also i dont have the computer but im gonna see if theres a system backup stored on it some where when i do get it but thats the only way i can think of thats a sure shot..and i doubt there is one.

    Kjanz is correct, this one is free and works pretty well in recovering data, I just depends on what you have done, if you have re-foramtted then the likelyhood is slim opposed to just a plain old deletion, but even plain old deletion will be harder to recover data from the more you use, install, delete, defrag on the drive as the space occupied by the deleted data will be written over at some point.
