ok, so i want to buy a new hard drive.... maybe 2.... is there really that big of a difference between 7200 RPMs and 10000 RPMs.... is it really that noticeable?

And does anyone have anything against Seagate Barracudas? i found pretty good deal on a bundle with one on newegg.... so i was thinking about just going with that, 7200 RPMs, 1 500GB and 1 250GB for only $210, any reason i should avoid getting these?

HDs with higher RPM can read data faster and increase performance. If you can afford the 10,000 RPM, then I suggest go for it.

Bladesofhalo is right - the 10Krpm drive can access data etc. much quicker. The only comment I have is they tend to cost more for less overall storage space. So I guess it's a question of what you want your PC to do - if storage space is a major factor, then I'd go with the 7200rpm drives.

I actually have two Seagate Barracuda SATA drives (7200.9) one at 120gb and another at 80gb - I have been very happy with them.
