i got a new hdd, it is a 250 gig, this is the main and only hdd on my computer, my ver of windows xp is old even before sp1, so anyways when i installed it, it only formatted the first 137 gigs cuz thats all pre sp1 can recognize, well now im a bit unsure what to do i mean, i updated this to the max, to sp2 and then some, and all that type crap im thinking install partition magic and have it format the rest, but see i HATE paqrtitions, i want just 1 big hdd like i bought, i dont want 137 gig C drive then the rest on a diffrent drive

so can i format the rest of this thing, and merge he two so it is then just 1 big hdd, and whats the best way to do that?

    thanks!

Just SP2 as it contains SP1 and get your remaining updates after you install.
