    Hi!

A few weeks ago, I bought a Maxtor 250GB Golden10 series hard drive! it was formated as FAT because it came with a case!
I reformated it, and started using it! I was very happy with that hard drive because of the huge capacity!
A week ago, it said "Hard drive not formated yet, do you want to format it now?" I was very disappointed because I had some important software on it!
This weekend I went to the lan, and downloaded a huge amount of data, all went fine again, till the last day, it said that it was not formated again!

I don't know what I should do with that hard drive, I am afraid that it will crash again with my important documents and files and I can wave goodbye!!

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Do you have up to date firmware for your hard disk drive? If you can find the model number, do a search on google for some firmware, it may iron out some problems. :)
