hard drive windows xp question??

i hear it is possible to view all web sites and chats/chat rooms that have been visited in the past and or used. is this true? and if this is possible how can you find, view or erase the sites ? thanks for your help mk

 

I can tell you that using the crap cleaner program will erase the webistes. Then me check on viewing them

Quinn all that info wold be useful if he was trying to prevent people, with physical access to his machine, from getting that info.
But if he has some type of covert app or a key-logger installed on the system, not though not visual, the person controlling this utility could find out all the keystrokes done by anyone on the machine also a utility monitoring/logging network activity could provide related info as well.

If mkcooker was indeed worries about his system security being compromised then I'd suggest a full system scan using various different scanners if the type of utility running hidden in the background was not known. These covert apps by nature may not even appear on Task Manager or appear with a disguised name much like a trojan. If they do not appear at all using a utility like ProcessExplorer from SysInternals, you might be able to spot it on the currently running threads list....
