Hard Drive

    Hi,
    I purchased a second hand intel i5-3470 @3.2ghz, 24 gb ram, 64 bit OS, win7 ult.. It has 2 SSD; 1 is speed (F) and 1 is local disk (C). I added a hard drive which is recognized under device manager as ST1000.
    I am requesting assistance to do the following:
    1) format hard drive and set up so I can copy files to it. It's not seen on the file manager.
    2) understand what is doing the 'backup set' in (F) and how to change it.
