hard drive

    can anyone tell me how to clear a hard drive completely and leave it as it was when it left the factory.

    go to the hd manufacturers website...there should be a downloadable program that has that function in it.

    manufacturers have their own utilities for this. If you visit the site of the drive manufacturer, you may be able to download a utility that performs the low-level format that they do.
