hard drives

    I am runing a new PC on win7 and was wondering if it was possible to put in an older harddrive with winxp on it whilest keeping the drive with win7 attached,and was hopeing to use the programes in older drive running on xp mode, switching between opperating systems when i power up

    You can't just install a hard drive with XP on it in different computer and expect it to run. The computer will complain because the hardware is different.
    Give the make and model of your Win 7computer so we can see if XP is supported. That means, are there drivers for your hardware by the manufacturer. If not, then you will have a hard time running XP.
