    Hey Guys,
I thought this was kind of awesome!:-D:-D
The one on the right is a standard HD(Obviously.)
The one on the left came out of an old Compaq (about 13 years old I think.)
Look at the physical size difference.

    Hi

Well yeah HDDs have changed in size but the one on the left maybe a 3.5" HDD whilst the one on the right is a laptop 2.5" drive, SSDs can be smaller but maily they are 2.5" to be able to fill the spaces in Hardware.

WOW I remember the old drum drives as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DysanRemovableDiskPack.agr.jpg

The one on the right isn't a laptop drive. I pulled that from another old desktop.

    That's more like it. Haha.
The one on the left is a Quantum Bigfoot TS.
The one on the left is a Quantum Fireball ST.
As I'm typing this I realize that they are both Quantum Drives.

As most of you have probably already surmised, the Quantum Bigfoot was a 5.25 inch HD and the Fireball was a 3.5 inch HD.

Anyone else like to join me in the "wow, thanks for making me feel old" group?

Anyone wanna get this for me? :-D

Dude, I know you were talking about HDD, the 5.5 inch was actually a coincidence I hadn't thought about, I nearly posted something about Beta-Max, but decided to go with computer and the first thing that came to mind from way "back in the day" was good old 5 inch floppys.
Damn I hate explaining my jokes :-D

Edit: On re-reading it, I can see how it was missed and in all honesty was poorly executed. But hey... it's me and you all know I'm odd :-D
