My new build machine is a Intel DP43TF with Q9650 and 2 GIGS memory.

I just notice the light is always flashing on my harddisk now every seconds...

Is they're a way to stop this.

I disable my anti-virus still flashing not that. NOD32 Version 3

IS there a tweak to stop that....

    OS: Windows XP PRO SP3

Other than disconnect the LED, not much to my knowledge...

I used to have the same problem on my old one. I came up with a few ideas:\

    1. Something's indexing something (for example, I've noticed Spybot Search & Destroy TeaTimer always searching)
    2. Pagefile.
    3. It's in serious need of a defrag.
    4. (added this) maybe the LED is broken :p

Turns out it was the defrag that was causing trouble.

Try this, it'll tell you what writes to the drive
