Harddrive shuts down when trying to write to it

    So since i upgraded to vista whenever i try and write new data to my C: drive it shuts down and restarts itself and then reappears in My computer like nothing happened (F: is my primary drive because i setup the RAID after i isntalled the other drive) Is this because F is my primary drive or is something else screwing this up? I have my power settings set to never turn off my hard disks.. Please help
