harddrive wiping utility?

    I'm looking for a hard drive cleaning utility that will work quickly on sata and preferably load from floppy. free would be nice as well,. any pointers would be most appreciated thnx.

    Depending on the make of HD some manufacturers have a wiping Low level format utility to write 1&0's to your HD .... see this section http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads8.html ( Western Digital I know does as I used it the other day ... Western Digital DLG Diagnostics 1.1 )
