Hardrive not found

    Hey guys my stupid sister downloaded an update from the computer manufacturer and now the computer won't boot. I thought maybe it corrupted the OS but I stuck in the winxp cd and tried to repair, but it said it cannot find any hard disk available..... the computer came with vista but i upgraded :p to winxp sp3. Any ideas why it suddenly can't find the hard disk? Any help would be appriciated.

    sounds like my problem, see thread "trying to install fresh copy of win xp ... " hopefully it helps
