    WIN XP//Speed touch 330 USB cable modem//WHILE INSTALLING MODEM ERROR 1024..ANY SOLIUTION.....confused

    I ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:

    1] Updated drivers frm
    http://thomsontelecompartner.com/dsl-modems-gatewa ys/products/product-detail.php?id=8

    2] Tried the following as sugg.
    1.Start-->Run-->msconfig.
    2.Click on "Start up" tab:
    3. In the start up processes look for " dragdiag.exe ",Please confirm from the custmer that they find "C:\program files\thomson" next to it.
    4.Uncheck that option.
    5.Click 'apply' and 'ok'
    5.Click 'close'
    6.Restart system.

    Still I get the same error msg 1024. Also tried to reinstall the mdm, made sure that the device is not connected first. No joy:banghead
