I am having issues with my LAN not giving me the full 100Mbps i am getting between 12 and 25 as where my wireless is getting 76.27Mbps.

Any ideas why this would be a problem on windows 7.

Do you really mean your "LAN"? Your LAN is your "local" area network. Your LAN is everything on your side of your gateway device (typically the modem or your router). These speeds are determined by the connection between your network adapter and your router/modem and have nothing to do with your Internet speeds.

Speedtest is used to measure your "Internet" bandwidth - or the speeds provided by your ISP.

Your LAN consists of your Ethernet (wired) connected devices and your wifi connected devices.

If you mean your local Ethernet connection is slow, then if me, the first thing I would do is swap Ethernet cables. Those are critical but actually very fragile network devices. And I would connect it to a different Ethernet port on the router too. Those can go bad.

I just had my ISP guy come out and he was not having any issues.Spent a good 30 mins.

"local" area network is giving me issues.

You need to go back and read what I said. If something you don't understand concerning Ethernet and wifi, let us know.

For the record, 76.27Mbps for your wifi is good.

    Says what?

Achieved network speeds rarely ever, if ever, reach published potentials. Did you change cables? Did you change ports?

And again, Speedtest means nothing here. That is showing your speed through your Zoom Internet provider.

Replicator is right. It is not my attitude in question here, but yours. You asked for help and that's why we are here - spending our free time to help others.

But all we can do is help you help yourself. And we do that by exchanging information and offering suggestions. But for that to be successful, we need you to follow our suggestions and we need your feed back to determine if those suggestions worked, or if we need to look elsewhere.

I suggested you swap Ethernet cables. Did you do that? We don't know.
I suggested you swap router ports. Did you do that. We don't know.

I mentioned twice that Speednet does not show local network speeds but you posted more Speednet screenshots.

When I asked again if you swapped Ethernet cables and ports, you said you "changed windows".

So it became clear you had no intentions of listening to any advice given and were just going to do your own thing anyway. So why waste my time or yours?

Now you say you fixed the problem and yes, I am glad you did. But you have not bothered to say how. So no one else is able to learn from your experience. :( The very purpose of forums like MG is to learn, and to share what we have learned. Sharing what we have learned is how we pay back for help we have received. You don't care to do that either.

So again, it is not my attitude in question.

    Have a good day.
