Hardware Problem

    My name is Shani.I have a problem with my hard disk(MDT company name size 20 gb).Some days gone when my computer was not properly shut down and when i restart it window was checking the problen in which when it count 8 seconds and it find bad culsters and recovering them.after some days window was corroupt and i install new window xp 2.after installing window when i reach to welcome screen computer did not respond and it also stuck when i click on shutdown or restart.After this when i start computer hard disk was making noise mainbord detects it but after detecting hardisk it also stuck i know hard disk have a problem but what is the problem in it.I hope u will send me its answre I will be higly thanful to you.:)

    It sounds like your hard disk is dying or dead. Nothing you can do to fix bad clusters, its time to buy a new drive :)

    Yep, your hd died, so you should change it. If your hd isn't accessible, but you need your data, so use special sofware like GetDataBack to recover data.
    If you want to copy or clone your hd to a new one then use smth like Migrate Easy (it has simple ui and can transfer data and os to a new larger hd without loosing important data).

    Agree, GetDataBack is a good data recover tool.
    But the best way to avoid problems in case of HDD death is backup software and external drive to store backup archive. In your case you'd just buy a new HDD and easily go back to the previous state of the working OS and all data saved.
    I repeat, you may install the system only once, back up its clean state to the external HDD, then 'update' this backup every week or month. This way you will be protected from viruses, all Windows glitches and even system and drive crash – you will be able to restore your OS easily by returning to the previous working system state.
