alright well i got a question about one of my comps.. its an emachine (i no its not the greatest) but its pretty new.. maybe like 1-3years. Anyway im wondering if this is a hardware problem , i don't use the computer but people in my family do and when there playing like a 3D-ish game such as games u can download threw msn games or such .. it will run the game perfectly fine and then just really lag out and be extremely slow.. then go back to normal.

This has also happened when you play solitair it will become slower and then just speed back up. What causing it to slow down all of a sudden.. it has 512mb ram and stock video card. It also has plenty of space on the harddrive.

I hope your running Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware SE, & possibly AVG Free. Regardless go to www.trendmicro.com and run the free "housecall" online virus scanner.

See in Task Manager how many tasks you run at the same time.Open CCleaner>tools>and startup,if something you don't need to run at boot you should delete.(but be carefull). Also run the Cleaner to delete unwanted files.Post what you have in Task Manager, and we can help you to free some memory. You can also see this:http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650

    Hope this can help you.;)
