Hardware problem

    i have a problem with my modem (zoltrix v 5 i think cobra or something)
    when i click on dial it make a noise not like that when it dial normaly and after this it says that the server which i dialing is not responding and when i dial again and again it says the modem is busy or in use what should i do so plz help me because my cable net is off for two weeks and i have to use dial up conection.

    Try testing your modem. Use this: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Passmark_Modem_Test_d326.html Install it and run the diagnostic with the phone line plugged in to the modem. Click Config first and set the test to run on the same COM port that your modem is on; usually COM2. I usually use the Local Diagnostic option (I think... :eek: It's been awhile since I've tested a dial-up modem). But you can try all three different tests... if one doesn't seem to work right, try another.... good luck!
