I was finally happy with Vista, My laptop onboard sound had taken me 4/5 months to get working and I finally have sound using the laptop speakers.

While I couldn't get sound I went out and bought Creative's USB SoundBlaster Live 24, a great piece of kit I really noticed the different between it and my laptop card. I also have Creative T7700 7.1 surround.

My intention was to set up a hardware profile in vista, so that when I'm at my desk with my shiny 7.1 the Exturnal card works and when I was away from it I could easily select to use the onboard stuff.

Vista doesn't appear to have an option to do this, can anyone help.
