Does anyone know of a free program that rates your computer in different areas? (Such as out of 5 points processer = 3.2 etc.) I could really use it to see what I should update sooner.

Sandra will rate your hardware against other similar setups. I don't know if any other type of rating would be suitable. You have to base the performance rating on something, not just an arbitrary scale. It seems that the best way to do this is to throw the same task at various hardware setups and see how each performs. This is generally known as 'benchmarking'. There are MANY programs that will run through a series of tasks, and then provide a score based on how the PC performed. This score can then be compared against other PCs that ran the tests. Otherwise, you'd just have a number that doesn't really mean anything. Look through the Benchmark downloads here at MajorGeeks for some ideas. The 3D Mark series is very popular among the gaming crowd, and Sandra (as mentioned previously) is also very well known and popular....
