    Hey everybody this is hellmitre out of San Francisco, CA. I'm just glad I found this site; I was running kind of blind selecting parts and building a computer and a lot of the posts on this site helped me out. Good to be here. I was :confused:, but now I am found.

    Well, I was building a fileserver for my personal use and knowledge... but then I got some money for my birthday (the 4th of July... w00t) and ordered some parts off eBay. A P4 processor (2.6 Ghz, 800 Mhz frontside bus) and a motherboard that would support it (however, only 400 Mhz frontside bus). Drat! And I was wondering if the motherboard would be able to handle the processor or halve the speed, which would be bad. So I googled some stuff about processors and frontside buses and differing speed rates, and got here. Life story short, I'm trying to build a gaming PC at the moment, while still maintaining some cash.

    Excellent, welcome aboard! How is the weather out there? I have visited SanFran 3 or 4 times and really love it there. I gotta get back there, I just hate a 5 hour flight :)

    Well, a reply from the founder of the site... what an honor! The weather is foggy, as San Francisco usually is, but since I am a fog-o-phile I'm happy.

    The fog can be a pain, for a visitor, it is pretty cool to see and drive over the Golden Gate during all the fog, though a break for photos is always nice. I forgot what hotel we stayed at last time, it was on the end of the road next to the museum, a few blocks from Pier 41. Had a chance to move there one time, didnt think I could afford it :)

    The funny thing is, any real San Franciscan doesn't pause for photos at the Golden Gate bridge, he gripes about the $3 - scratch that - $5 - toll, the bastards. :mad:
