Parents should have a change at the next election.
In my day, the students would have taken action themselves.Massive walkout and protests.School would have been lucky to be standing the next day.(Some of the Science students were a bit on the extremist side themselves)
That person would still be running from the "jocks" at my old HS.

I said"in my day". That goes back to the mid-60's when in high school. Protests and riots were the thing then. Police would either stand and watch or find a hidey hole.

Oh yeah. Heard of it and knew some that were there. That wasn't a pretty time, but also not my area.
Most of the guys in my school went hunting right after school, so plenty of weapons around, but very few Police. Citywith 3 officers but only 1 on duty at a time, nearest SP detachment 20-25 minutes away at the earliest.

Oh well Boston schools look like prisons with bars on the windows. You cant even get inside without being wanded.

I mean if you tried that in the 80-90s, you would lose badly. Police are brutal.

When I was a freshman, the seniors wanted to do something to be remembered by. They planned the biggest food fight the school would have ever seen, with the whole senior lunch (which for some reason I was in) to be involved. EVERYONE knew it was going to happen, there were extra teachers in the cafeteria the day it was set, probably 3 days before graduation. The Vice Principle was in there, it was electric. No one knew for sure it was going down, but people knew it was talked about, quite a bit. I don't remember what the meal was, but I know mashed potatoes was on the menu.

About 10 minutes before the end of lunch, even the halls outside started to fill with kids who had bathroom passes, heck some teachers even let people in nearby classes go see what was going on, if anything.

One girl stands up, a bigger girl and she pins the Vice Principle to the wall, just standing in her way, more or less.

The first piece of food goes airborne.

I'd bet before that food hit the ground or anything else there was 50 pounds of food in the air following it. It was crazy. they picked food off the ceiling for the rest of the school year, the whole place was a disaster, and so was everyone in it. some of the people left the room as quick as they could, everyone else was out of luck, after about 30 seconds, you were hit with something, there was no avoiding it.

I think 7 seniors got expelled for it, but the parents raised a fuss, and said they just targeted some of the more problematic kids. Everyone graduated, not sure about going to the ceremony or not, but they did get diplomas.

The next year we had video cameras. I'm sure they're still there in some form.

This is a harkback to that Methodist school that refused to allow a girl and boy to graduate if they attended a party.
What is it with all the totalitarian BS doing the rounds nowadays?

every time there was a planned food fight, 10 officers would show up that day. They never worked, a few would start to throw food and get arrested.

    the end :-D
