I am still trying to figure out why my desktop is rebooting.

I am looking for advice on spending no more than 30 dollars for a good Post Card.

My system will reboot. With out any cause i can not even get windows loaded on to my SSD.The Power supply is new not even a month old.My older power supply turns it on as well but is still rebooting.I can not even check the ram properly with out it rebooting.Sure it will stay in BIOS for a long time. But once it's out of bios it reboots.

I need to find out if it's a power issue on the mother board.Or some thing else.I have had this apart and put back together both inside and out side of case.

I can't figure out the issue.

It would some times stay on for 10 mins then reboot.

I was looking off of amazon and newegg to buy a Post card.My system does not give out beep codes like it should even though the speaker is on the right spot.

I am thinking the mother board is going bad finally.I built it back in 1996 when the system first came out and upgraded it since.

Have you tried a linux boot media of any kind? Maybe a hiren's boot cd or Falcon4?
Seriously from '96? 486 or Pentium2 ? That's old. Could be bad caps, bad or corroded circuit traces, does it have sockets to hold any of the ic circuits? Could be bad connections, loose or cold solder joints.

I would try the boot media first. Linux's boot can show you what it's doing during the boot process and you might find what it's failing to initialize.

    This is my board https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/870AG54.html

This one one of many MSI motherboards i bought back in the day.The thing is There are no issues with the board the burst caps there are none.It will boot into bios that's about it.I have tried resetting the jumper and batter.

This is the reason why i need the test card.

The motherboard it self was a military class board. At the time of build.I ran a dual core system at the time. Then upgraded the cpu to a quad core amd.

Eldon, I was confused too. I assumed he meant use something credit card sized as a computer, like the Raspberry Pi.
