Has anyone dual booted Ubuntu 8.10 inside of Windows Vista Home Premium x64?

I've posted this on the Ubuntu Forums twice with no response...

Recently I decided I wanted to try installing Ubuntu 8.10 inside of my Vista Home Premium x64 system.

Ubuntu installs correctly, but when I try booting into Ubuntu from the boot screen, I get the black screen that tells me it's loading several components of the system, and then it suddenly stops at "Starting bluetooth..." or something of that general nature.

    Why is this happening?

    Maybe a driver fault?

Vista is running perfectly fine on the drive. Is it because I am running a 64-bit version of Windows or something? I purchased a disc that said it was simply Ubuntu 8.10, I'm assuming it is a 32-bit operating system. Is there a 64-bit version of Ubuntu? I'm unsure if that is even the problem or if that makes sense, though,

I apologise, that was supposed to read driver fault.

There is a specific sub-forum in here for linux, maybe you would get more help there.
